Back in 2000, Liz Exton started a
simple sole-trader business delivering
sandwiches and selling grated cheese
to local shops in and around Stockport.
It proved to be quite a success!

So in 2002, when sister Rachael joined to look after sales, hopes were high of building something special. But no-one could have predicted that, just 17 years later, Extons Foods would have an annual turnover of £35 million!

Today, we have a workforce of over 120 and are in our third production facility, a 45,000 sq.ft. purpose-built resource in South Manchester.

Currently equipped with three production lines with slicing, grating and packaging capabilities, we’re equipped to meet the most exacting demands of customers across Europe, including producing over 220 tonnes of Cheddar…every week!

But the real key to success lies in our hard-earned reputation for hands-on service and consistency…qualities that reflect the ‘family feel’ that runs throughout the business and now extends to dad, James, who oversees the engineering department, Liz’s husband, Steven, who’s manages logistics and warehousing, and Rachael’s husband, Kevin, who has recently joined the engineering team.
